Hannah is the kind of athlete who proves that consistency beats everything. She shows up, puts in the work, and keeps going—even on the days it would be easier not to. Over time, that mindset has led to some incredible progress and a strong presence in her class. She’s real, relatable, and a perfect example of what can happen when you just keep showing up. We’re excited to spotlight Hannah this month—read more about her below!
Get to Know Hannah
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do outside of the gym.
I’m a wife, a Jesus follower, & a mom to a wild 3-year-old—basically living in organized chaos.
Outside of CrossFit, what are some of your favorite hobbies, talents, or skills?
I probably need to find more hobbies or a hidden talent, but for now I enjoy laying in bed, painting wall murals, planting flowers, listening to audiobooks, & playing RollerCoaster Tycoon in my free time.
If you could create your own WOD, what would it be? My own WOD– shockingly enough, start with a Short, fast, & aggressive—anything with bike calories, running (not up the hill), & double unders.
Who do you love training next to and why? I love working out with my husband & mom, but the gals in the 4:30pm class are incredible & have held me accountable to push myself when I’d absolutely love to sandbag a workout.
What’s your proudest moment or biggest accomplishment since joining?
Losing 50 pounds & staying consistent.
What’s your go-to pump-up song right now?
“Heavy Is the Crown” by Linkin Park & “Wash It All Away” by Five Finger Death Punch
Cardio or Lifting?
Cardio ㋡
What’s your Crossfit spirit animal? (best describes you during a wod)
Probably a squirrel.
Any fun facts or something most people at the gym might now know about you?
I collect lava lamps. I’ve watched Game of Thrones all the way through… eight times. I’m House Slytherin. I refuse to take my car to the dealership if YouTube can teach me how to fix it—so if your AC goes out, I’m your girl. I’m basically nocturnal, love exploring new theme parks, & am slightly obsessed with Universal Studios Orlando.
What advice would you give someone who is considering starting at CrossFit Eclipse?
Just show up. You don’t have to be “in shape” or know what you’re doing. The hardest part is walking through the door the first time.
