When did you first start CrossFitting?
Last year around August, didn’t get to serious into it until 3 months ago, and now I love it.
Tell us about your sports & fitness background.
I played football, then wrestled, then either track or off-season football, eventually played soccer and loved that sport.
How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go?
Parker West cleaned 275 and it made my competitive nature come out, I asked him how? and told me it was thanks to Crossfit eclipse, so I said okay I’ll check it out, got whooped in some WOD’S and I knew I was cutting myself short in my overall fitness… so now I’m all about it. Never forgot the first day, I couldn’t breathe lol
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit?
I’ve gotten way more explosive and stronger… I feel like I can control my power a lot more because or the Olympic lifting, and when I started doing WOD’S I noticed I didn’t get tired anymore when playing sports with my friends or hiking. I knew it was thanks to the high intensity training.
What impact has CrossFit had on your life? It’s taken over my life and I think that’s a great thing. It keeps me out of trouble and my mind occupied. When I’m stressed from school and work, i let it all out at crossfit, and everyone at Crossfit Eclipse is always LIT. it’s just a great atmosphere. I love it… it’s my passion now.
What is your advice for people getting started or thinking about starting CrossFit? Don’t waste time, get into it as soon as possible, it’ll help with your whole life. Your stress and anxiety and physical health, don’t be afraid, just jump in and go, you won’t regret it… maybe that first week of soreness lol… but after that it’s the greatest way to get you body to release some endorphins and for you to get a healthy natural high.
What are your hobbies, interests, and other talents outside of CrossFit?
Just playing sports and staying active, I love my friends and family, so when I’m not at the gym or school or work, you’ll catch me with the Bros playing sports or hiking.
