When did you first start Crossfit? February 2019
Tell us about your sports & fitness background.
I played soccer until high school, but have always been active whether it was taking fitness classes with friends or working out at home.
How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go?
My husband talked me into trying a class and I was very hesitant. I always heard horror stories about people always getting hurt doing CrossFit. We both went and tried a class, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The game changer was the coaching. The coaches were amazing, giving me instruction and attention to ensure that I don’t get hurt and making me feel like I belong even as a beginner. We signed up the very next day as a Valentine’s gift to each other!
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit?
I have a lot more energy, sleep so much better, and I am stronger than I have ever been.
What impact has CrossFit had on your life?
Not only am I feeling great physically and mentally, I have loved the community and friends that I have met at CrossFit Eclipse. CrossFit has just been a positive change in my everyday routine.
What is your advice for people getting started or thinking about starting CrossFit?
Just do it! Give it a shot! Don’t be nervous or scared because anyone can do it no matter their fitness level. We all start somewhere and once they start, I know that they will fall in love with it.
What are your hobbies, interests, and other talents outside of CrossFit?
I love to read books, watch football, and spend time with my family. A lot of my time is spent traveling for my son’s competitive hockey. When hockey isn’t going then he is doing football, acting, or trying a new sport…like baseball this year.
What’s the wallpaper of your phone?
An older picture of my sons, Dayten and Bodhi. It’s my favorite picture of them because I feel it captures how much Bodhi admires and loves his older brother and for once Dayten wasn’t annoyed by that.
