I started January 7, 2017 in the beginner’s class. Tell us about your sports & fitness background. I played baseball until college and have zero background in fitness. How did you first get intoCrossFit? How did it go? Before my current occupation, I was a lineman for American Electric Power. This was a very physical job that filled the bucket for movement and strength. After a day of work, the last thing I would have wanted to do was to open the door of a gym. Worked out off and on ever since. How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go? A friend invited me! Went very well. What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting CrossFit? Stronger mentally and physically. Seeing definition where iv never had it. Eating cleaner. When I was younger, I always played sports for fun. However, as far as fitness goes I didn’t really get serious about that until college. I had tried tried lifting weights in high school but didn’t know enough to make any progress. In college I tried again but this time I read everything I could about training, nutrition and recovery. I figured what worked for me; how my body responded to different training schemes, how to eat, and learned to prioritize sleep. And through this, put on about 90 lbs. I played baseball and basketball in high school. I have always been athletic and really enjoy competition. I never really lifted weights, at least not correctly… being from a small town we didn’t have a “gym” to go to. How did you first get into CrossFit?
