Athlete of the Month:

1. What is your nickname? T or Tash 

2. What are your favorite hobbies, talents, skills outside of CrossFit? Hobbies: Riding bikes with Carter and Ryan, watching Carter learn new sports (he doesn’t always love them though). Talent/Skills: baking, hair/nails/makeup, cleaning (yes it’s a skill when you’re OCD). 

3. How did you find/get to CrossFit Eclipse? I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2011, I started at CrossFit Tulsa then eventually went to 918 CrossFit – both closed their doors. Ryan and I tried out several other boxes but Aaron sent a personalized Thank You which speaks volumes. 

4. What motto or phrase do you live by? It’s not always going to be easy, but you’ll figure it out and learn during the process. 

5. What is your favorite music to listen to while WODing? Depends; if I’m just looking to move and recover I love country but if it’s an intense workout I need my rap music! 

6. What is your favorite WOD? Big fan of Diane. My time isn’t impressive but those are two movements I love together! 

7. What is your favorite cheat Food(s)? Andy’s Cookie Casanova – with chocolate and Carmel syrup 🤤

8. What is one thing you have done at CFE that you never thought you would do? Be in better shape at 37 than I was at 27 

9. What motivates you through your CrossFit journey? Being able to set a good example for Carter. 

10. What results have you seen so far in coming to CFE? Back to response 8; the former gyms were more social then working out, I enjoyed it in my 20’s but being 37 and in the best shape of my life truly speaks to the coaches and training at CFE. 

11. Do you have any special or successful CrossFit Eclipse memories/moments? Being able to workout with my husband, Working out during pregnancy, competing with some of the best (Aaron, Sean and Grace at Battle at The Ranch), qualifying for quarterfinals, and building some amazing friendships. 

12. What sort of life changes have you experienced because of CrossFit that you didn’t expect? Being strong is better than being skinny. 

13. What advice would you give to a newbie or someone just joining CrossFit Eclipse? You’re in the best hands with the coaches and the community at Eclipse, listen to your body and know what is right for you! 

14. Current training Goals/PRs? Goal is just to continue getting better, staying consistent in the gym and with nutrition.

15. If you could create a WOD and name it for yourself, what would it be? Chipper style with cleans, t2b, ohs and hspu 

16. Cowboys or Sooners? Boomer!!!
