Scott is one of those familiar early morning faces who helps make the 5:30am class feel like family. Between work, family life, and nonstop activities with his daughters, he still finds time to consistently show up and put in the work. From long-distance running to his first competition experience, Scott brings a steady attitude and strong work ethic to the gym every day. Get to Know Scott
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do outside of the gym.
I am a proud Husband and father of 3. I work 2 jobs and go back and forth between cheer and soccer for my daughters.
Outside of CrossFit, what are some of your favorite hobbies, talents, or skills?
I like to run long distance. I play disc golf, hunt and fish when I get the chance.
If you could create your own WOD, what would it be? My own WOD would have running, pull ups and some sort of lift that is not shoulder focused!
Who do you love training next to and why? I love my 5:30 AM class, we have become like family but my spot is between Zac and Jenna. It’s where I have been since I started and it just feels normal there.
What’s your proudest moment or biggest accomplishment since joining?
Proudest moment, I did my first comp with Zac and Brian.
What’s your go-to pump-up song right now?
My go to pump up song right now is probably “My songs know what you did in the dark” by Fall Out Boy.
Cardio or Lifting?
No surprise here but Cardio over lifting any day!
What’s your Crossfit spirit animal? (best describes you during a wod)
Probably a cheetah? I seem to come out fast and get slower toward the end of the workouts.
Any fun facts or something most people at the gym might now know about you?
Fun fact, I love Star Wars and have Star Wars Lego sets all over my desk at work.
What advice would you give someone who is considering starting at CrossFit Eclipse?
My advice for someone starting at our gym is for them not to worry about things they don’t know how to do. Our coaching staff will find a great workout for anyone at any point of their fitness journey, and it will be an enjoyable experience.
