I used to do competitive cheer for 9 years and I cheered for Metro all the way through elementary to junior year. How did you first get into Crossfit? How did it go? I did Track, Cross Country, volleyball, and club soccer from middle school through high school. Moderate workouts, some hiking, running, biking but not really structured which left my workouts or activates good but not gaining anything for event to event. How did you first get into CrossFit? January 2011 Tell us about your sports & fitness background: Didn’t play sports in High School and didn’t go to college. How did you first get into CrossFit? How did it go? I actually got started when my youngest son was in the military. My oldest grandson played soccer at that time and would need someone to practice with. Being at least 50 pounds overweight I could barely run across the yard which was not much help. Not knowing anything about fitness I researched on how guys my age got into shape. First get into crossfit? How did it go? – I was working at Fleet Feet, and one our delivery guys was a coach at a local gym. For 6 months he tried to get me to go, and I finally gave in to get him to quit asking. Also, lots of my customers were mentioning crossfit, and they would say that in crossfit, running is where you get to catch your breath. I thought what could possibly be harder than running?
